Lawyer, political science grad leaps into kelp farming

Seagrove's Markos Scheer is featured by his alma mater, the University of Colorado. After a history of working in the state of Alaska and within various fisheries Scheer realized the potential of mariculture in the state. After several years of research and raising capital, Scheer took the leap of leaving his career as a lawyer and becoming the CEO of the largest kelp farm in the United States.
